Preparing for recording

Make sure you have wired head/earphones to avoid interruptions.

Have your notifications on silent during the recording.

Ensure you have a quiet place to do the recording with no background noise (eg. dogs, kids, traffic etc.).

Have a clear background (must be neat and not too cluttered)

Audio Quality; if you’re using the microphone attached to your head/ear phones make sure it won’t brush against your clothing and distort the audio quality.

Strong wifi connection, to ensure the best quality recording and ease of use make sure you’re connected to a consistent and strong wifi.

Language; ensure you use appropriate language for the audience of the podcast. Avoid a lot of technical jargon, don’t use expletives or slang, focus on not talking to quickly and pronouncing words clearly.

Don’t overthink it! If you slip up or would like to change something we can edit the audio, these are just considerations going into the recording to help you create a great outcome.
